Designed with a purpose for water skiing and similar to world-famous water skiing properties such as “Spring Mountain Ski Ranch” & “Lakeside Ski Village” in Arizona USA, the Lake Barden water-ski site at Berry Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia, is a unique world class facility that has produced records at the Australian Barefoot Nationals held at the site in 2013 & the Australian Tournament water ski championships held at the site in 2014.

There have been many other major competitions and professional water ski schools held here. Tens of thousands of people have learnt to water ski here in its 40+ year history. The site is approx. 900 metres long, which is longer than most man-made water ski lakes. The narrow side is ideal for barefoot water skiing, tournament slalom & trick skiing. The large side ideal for tournaments jumps, wakeboarding, show, disabled, social, etc types of water-skiing.

Unlike other water-ski sites Lake Barden has a 15 litre per/second bore which allows the lake to stay full all year round. The site is zoned TC (Tourism Commercial) allowing a conglomerate of passionate water-skiing families to be involved in a timeshare body corporate scheme. With the right team, it could be the water ski envy of the world. Alternatively, being zoned TC (Tourism Commercial) Lake Barden could be purchased by a club, tourist resort, government entity (local, territory or federal), waterfront residential estate, etc & allow the operation of powered and/or non-powered water sports such as swimming, kayaking, paddle boats, paddle boards, aqua parks, flyboarding, dragon boat racing, etc.
